U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service specialist, Doni Sprague, works to explain  the cataloging system utilized by the National Wildlife Property Repository to identify and track each piece of contraband and visual factors of identification for certain animal species June 2, 2009..Some 300,000 items made from wildlife are being sold through a special online auction that began Feb. 22, as the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service seeks to reduce costs for storing and maintaining forfeited and abandoned wildlife property at its National Wildlife Property Repository. The sale will clear space for newly obtained wildlife property and support conservation education and other activities benefitting wildlife.
