While parked near a truck stop, storm chasers, (R) Richard Heene and his storm chasing partner, (L)Scott Stevens, a meteorologist, track an intensifying storm making it's way just north of Cheyenne, WY on Thurs., July 26. The pair of storm chasers use powerful programs using GPS technology to track positions and strength of storms. It's vital to the chasers research to be able to predict where the storms will be because they have very small windows of time, usually no more than 3 minutes, to position their measuring instruments in the path of the storm.
